This church with Mannerist and Baroque architecture was built in the 18th century, undergoing changes over the years.
It contains pieces of sacred goldwork from the 17th and 18th centuries. Its walls are covered with 18th-century tiles and the altars are made of Baroque carvings.
The main chapel is the ex-libris of the interior of this Church, featuring one of the best carved Mannerist altarpieces on Madeira Island. The ceiling paintings are from the 19th century.
